My 5th lens is published

Well, I just published my 5th lens. It will either resonate with women or not depending on their views. The lens was born of a letter I received a week ago asking women who are not for Sarah Palin to write and tell their story. A week later, 100,000 women have added their voice. I felt the opposing voices deserve to be heard as well.

On a second note. Can anyone tell me the difference between a page and a post? Might sound silly, but this newbie is a bit confused.

    I don’t know if I can explain this clearly. A post is an entry to your blog. (like what you just wrote here)I guess I think of all your blog posts as the main page.

    You can add other pages to your blog, that include information aside from your routine posts. Those additional pages are more static usually. For instance, you may have a page about yourself; kind of like a bio. Any additional pages you make show up as links or tabs on your blog post page so that people can click on them and view them.

    Clear as mud right?

    I agree with Mulberry. My Pages are also static Info about me. Although, they can be added to from time to time. For example on my Wordpress blog (http:www.aj2008.wordpress.com)I have a list of my Squidoo lenses and another on Biographical info about me.

    You can also create more pages, if you wanted to you could clone your lenses into pages, but of course you would need to use the relevant HTML code etc.

    I created several extra pages on my blog here that promote different types of lenses. I’m thinking of creating more.

    You are both right - the posts are your blog, and typically in a Wordpress site the home page is your blog. Very often it’s more like a diary, but it can be created in other ways as well, especially if you create posts in different categories.

    Thanks for the clarification to all! Now it makes sense to me. I feel like I am doing well just to get a blog post out. Next I will figure out the the next step.
