My first lens http://www.squidoo.com/collegevisitsurvival is now ranked #288 in Family and #7586 overall. I am thrilled and still trying to figure out the whole marketing aspect of Squidooing. I also have started a 3rd lens about dorm room decorating. It seems I need to start more than one lens at a time.
Does anyone out there have any opinions about working on one lens at a time versus multiple lenses at one time?

I’m glad to hear your first lens is doing well. I work on a lot of lenses at a time, depending on what my mood is. Occasionally I force myself to focus on just one and get it published.

Pleased you are finding your way.
Your lenses will rise pretty quick in the first week, but after that it’s up to you to figure out how to keep people coming to visit and also to keep coming back.
With a subject like this lens though, you ought to be able to tap into plenty of blogs and forums where high school kids are looking for colleges. It’s a great topic that should prove to be very popular.
We aware that it’s probably a seasonal lens though. You might find traffic falling off later in the year, but come springtime, you could get at least hundreds of visitors a day.
Good Luck.

It’s whatever works for you. For me, I rarely work on more than one at a time. I keep a list for ideas, but when I start putting one together I focus on it until it’s done. I have to concentrate or I’ll never finish!
