I was just visiting SquidU and found a topic about changing the look of your lens. I found out how to UnMax a lens so I have done it. If anyone would be so kind as to take a look and let me know if they like the look, it would be most appreciated!

Well, I just signed up at a site called Qassia as a way to get some backlinks…I hope. It was recommended on another lens. I linke that it is a free and easy way to get some more traffic to my lenses. They ask you to add a small bit of “intel” to get Qdollars which work towards backlinking. If you add original content, you can get more Q$, but you can use portions of your lenses as well. I know this will be a trial and error process but it looks like a nice fit to me. Go to my user page:http://annetteghallowell.qassia.com/Â and you can see how you can try this out for yourself.

Today’s stats: #164 in parenting and 3924 overall. I added more tag words yesterday and joined a few groups. I still haven’t figured out how to add or what exactly link backs are. I have information overload. I want to figure it out right now! Next on my to do list is figuring out how to make some money!
My first lens http://www.squidoo.com/collegevisitsurvival is now ranked #288 in Family and #7586 overall. I am thrilled and still trying to figure out the whole marketing aspect of Squidooing. I also have started a 3rd lens about dorm room decorating. It seems I need to start more than one lens at a time.
Does anyone out there have any opinions about working on one lens at a time versus multiple lenses at one time?
Well I am excited to say that as of right now, my lens has moved up to #429 in Parenting and Kids and my overall lens rank is now #13157! I know there is alot that I can do to promote http://www.squidoo.com/collegevisitsurvival as my first lens, but I also want to finish my second lens since it ties into the first one.
Now I am off to a send off college picnic at my daughter’s perfect school. I am compiling information of the process of sending my daughter off to school for more lenses. If anyone has any other ideas they might like to see me add on. I am all ear!

I have a URL ending that I didn’t want.. As I was writing this lens, I first was going to write, You Want Me to Visist How Many Colleges? As I was writing, I realized I was actually writing the prequel which is the actual college search process. I change the title, but I was not able to change the URL.
I have learned lessons 1-100 at least while writing this lens, with 10,000 more lessons to learn at least. I want to know how to add the post it notes and other boxes within the blog. I want to know how someone can truly do a lens in 20 minutes or less. I want to know how to add html of my own…..wait, I first need to know how to do html!
The researcher gene is running wildly through me now. Last night I think I dreamed Squidoo. I am in BIG trouble!

Hello world. I am taking the big Squidoo deep sea plunge. I signed up this week and am trying to get my first lens out as we speak. I am hoping that making lenses will work well with my tendency for procrastination. Since I love learning and have been described as the virtual reference library, Squidoo and I seem to be a match made in heaven I can write lenses and search the web at the same time. Then there is the bigger dream of making some money as well!
I am hoping that by signing up for this blog, it will force me to stay on task and in some way be accountable for following through with publication on a regular basis. I am stuck now in the phase of , “How in the world can someone publish 1 or more lenses a day?” I am on week one with 2 lenses in progress. It didn’t start out that way, I named one lens then realized I was actually writing topic for a different lens….
With that said, I am back to work! I will be back soon to announce my official first lens posting….Chilled champagne will be accepted!
